Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
A well-established specialist school in Hungerford is looking to appoint a caring and motivated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 3:30pm, offering a daily rate of £92.63.
The school provides education and support for children and young people across a range of age groups, with a strong focus on pupils with autism and additional complex learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students during lessons and structured activities
- Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and social interaction
- Help maintain a calm, inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to meet individual student needs
- Support behaviour management strategies where necessary
- Provide personal care support when required
Candidate Requirements:
Applicants should have previous experience working within a SEND environment. However, individuals with transferable experience in areas such as care work, youth support, residential care or support work are also encouraged to apply.
