SENDCo – Primary Mainstream School – N17 Axcis Education is recruiting on behalf of a vibrant and inclusive primary mainstream school in N17, who are seeking a dedicated and experienced SENDCo to join their team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact. Start Date: ASAP Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm Location: N17, North London About the Role: The school supports approximately 40 pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The successful candidate will take the lead on all SEND provision across the school, working closely with staff, external professionals, and families to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all aspects of SEND provision across the school Coordinate and prepare annual reviews and maintain high-quality paperwork and records Use initiative and independent judgement to manage a busy workload Provide staff with advice, training, and guidance on inclusive practice Work closely with families and external agencies to ensure joined-up support Demonstrate a strong commitment to the school’s ethos and values The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Substantial experience as a SENDCo in a mainstream primary setting A proven track record of delivering high standards in SEND provision Excellent organisational and communication skills Confidence in handling complex cases and writing high-quality EHCP documentation A flexible, proactive, and dedicated approach to school life NASENCo qualification (desirable but not essential if experience is extensive) This role requires someone with drive, passion, and a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of pupils with additional needs.
