A specialist SEND school in Hungerford is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from 5th October 2026. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm, with a daily pay rate of £92.63. The school supports pupils across a range of ages and primarily caters for children and young people with autism, alongside a variety of additional and complex needs. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping to create a safe, positive and engaging learning environment tailored to each individual’s needs. Responsibilities may include supporting learning activities, encouraging communication and social development, managing challenging behaviour and providing personal care where required. Previous experience working within a SEND school is essential, although candidates with relevant backgrounds in care work, support work, residential care or youth work will also be considered.
