Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and well-established specialist school in Woodley. This full-time role offers the chance to be part of a dedicated team making a meaningful impact on the daily lives of children and young people with additional needs.
Pay: £92.63 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Location: Woodley
About the Role:
In this role, you will be working with pupils aged 4 to 17 who have a range of moderate to severe learning disabilities. You will play an important part in supporting students both academically and personally, helping them to engage with learning and develop essential life skills within a structured and nurturing school environment.
You’ll collaborate closely with teaching staff to ensure each pupil receives the tailored support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to pupils with SEND in both group and one-to-one settings
Assist in delivering engaging, accessible learning activities
Support behaviour management and emotional regulation
Develop strong, consistent relationships with pupils
Encourage participation, independence and confidence
Assist with personal care where required
Adapt to working across a variety of age groups and needs within the school
Requirements:

Care or residential support settings
Social work or youth work
Roles supporting vulnerable individuals

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport
Confidence working with children and young people with additional needs
