Location: Wandsworth, London
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Salary: Paid to scale
We are looking for a highly experienced and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Wandsworth, London. This is a full-time position for a passionate individual with a strong background in supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual EHCPs
• Assist in planning and delivering differentiated learning activities
• Support pupils’ emotional regulation and social development
• Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and parents/carers
• Maintain accurate progress records and contribute to review meetings
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant (minimum 2 years preferred)
• Strong understanding of various SEND needs and effective support strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive, patient and nurturing approach
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3, TA Diploma, or equivalent) desirable
• Enhanced DBS (on the update service) or willingness to apply
