Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Position: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Ripon
Tenure: Full-time, temp to perm
Pay: £95 - £100 per day
Axcis are currently working with a small 1 form entry primary school in Ripon, North Yorkshire that is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join them on a full-time basis working 121 and whole class with special needs students across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
The role will involve:
• Supporting students across all primary ages with their learning and development
• Supporting class teachers with delivering lessons and lesson planning
• Keeping students on track with their lessons
• Providing feedback to pupils, teachers and parents
• Encouraging pupils to interact with the class and engage in activities
• Ensuring that classrooms are prepared for each lesson
The school offers a very supportive environment with genuine commitment to professional development, along with a tailored induction plan based on your needs and experience.
The working hours for this role will be 08:30 – 15:30, Monday to Friday, term time only.
Minimum requirements:
• Have experience of working with primary aged students
• A good understanding of how children learn and develop
• Be able to work as part of a committed team of teaching professionals
• Good communication skills
• Enhanced DBS, ideally registered with the update service (we can facilitate a new DBS)
• 2 previous employment references
