Salary: Starting from £83.40 per day (PAYE) dependent on experience and relevant qualifications
Job Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and welcoming team at a secondary school in Oldbury. This rewarding role involves working with pupils who have profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and complex needs, including physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and communication challenges.
Key Duties:
• Provide tailored support to pupils with PMLD either on a 1:1 basis or in a small group
• Help create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for pupils
• Work closely with pupils to support their communication needs
What we are looking for:
• Experience working with pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties and severe learning difficulties
• Working as a teaching assistant in a SEND setting
• A patient, empathetic and adaptable approach to supporting diverse learning needs
• Relevant qualifications in Special Education required specifically with PMLD and Severe Learning Difficulties
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
