SEND Teaching Assistant – KS2 Autism & Social Skills Support
Location: Bidford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week
Axcis Education is recruiting a compassionate and skilled SEND Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 2 pupils with autism and social communication needs.
The Role:
• Support pupils in developing social skills and confidence in the classroom
• Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions focused on communication and interaction
• Implement strategies to promote engagement and independence
• Work closely with class teachers, SENCO, and wider support teams to tailor learning
About You:
• Experience supporting pupils with autism or social communication needs
• Patient, empathetic, and adaptable to individual pupil needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of positive behaviour strategies and structured teaching approaches
