SEN Teacher – Specialist School Chorley | Axcis Education | January 2027 – August 2027 | £190+ per day Axcis Education is recruiting for an experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Chorley on a long-term basis from January 2027 until August 2027. The school supports children and young people with severe learning difficulties and complex SEND, including autism, communication needs, physical and sensory needs and complex medical needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN teacher who is passionate about creating individualised, engaging and accessible learning experiences for pupils with complex needs. The Role You will: * Plan and deliver engaging lessons adapted to the individual needs and abilities of pupils. * Differentiate and personalise the curriculum to ensure every child can access learning and make progress. * Set appropriate, individualised learning objectives and monitor pupil progress. * Support pupils with severe learning difficulties and complex SEND. * Work closely with Teaching Assistants and other professionals to provide consistent support. * Create a positive, structured and nurturing classroom environment. * Support pupils' communication, independence, social and emotional development. * Contribute to EHCP outcomes and individual learning plans. Essential Requirements * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential. * Experience working within a specialist/SEN setting – essential. * Strong understanding of severe learning difficulties and complex SEND. * Proven ability to adapt and personalise the curriculum to meet the needs of every child in the class. * Excellent classroom management and communication skills. * A patient, creative and flexible approach to teaching. * Passionate about helping pupils achieve their individual potential. * This position is not suitable for ECTs – previous experience within a specialist setting is required.
