Full-time | Agency Role
We are working with a specialist secondary SEND school in NW London to recruit an experienced and passionate SEND Teacher to support students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
This is a full-time agency role, teaching a small class of secondary-aged pupils with complex needs, focusing on functional skills, including communication, English, maths, life skills, and sensory learning.
The Role:
Plan and deliver highly personalised lessons for students with PMLD
Teach functional English and maths, communication, and life skills
Use sensory-based and creative approaches to support engagement
Adapt the curriculum to meet EHCP outcomes
Work closely with TAs, therapists, and the wider multidisciplinary team
Support pupils with complex physical, medical, and personal care needs
Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
Experience teaching students with PMLD and complex needs
Strong understanding of differentiated and sensory-based learning
Confident working in a secondary SEND setting
Calm, patient, and resilient approach
Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
