Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full-time, until May 2026
Axcis are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in West Drayton that has a dedicated Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) Unit, supporting pupils with Autism (ASD) and Complex Needs.
The school is seeking a fully qualified teacher with proven experience teaching children with SEND, particularly SEMH at primary level, and who is confident and experienced in managing challenging behaviour.This is a well-supported role, with planning already in place, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality teaching and building strong, positive relationships with pupils.
This role would suit a calm, resilient, and nurturing professional who is passionate about making a meaningful difference within a specialist setting.
About the Role
-You will be teaching across two small KS1 classes within the SRP:
-Class 1: 6 pupils, supported by 3–4 experienced adults
-Class 2: 3 pupils
-Most pupils are verbal, with one non-verbal learner who is making excellent progress through targeted communication support.
-The school offers a warm, collaborative environment, strong leadership, and excellent support from skilled Teaching Assistants.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
-Experience working with children with SEND, or a strong interest in this area
-A nurturing, creative, and flexible approach to teaching
