Job Advert: SEN Teacher – Autism Resourced Provision Location: Ealing, Mainstream Primary School with ARP Working Hours: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday Contract Type: Long-term, with potential for permanent Start Date: Immediate About the Role: We are looking for a passionate SEN Teacher to join our Autism Resourced Provision (ARP) in a mainstream primary school in Ealing. You will be working with upper KS2 students, teaching a class of up to 15 pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder and additional SEND needs. The role requires delivering the National Curriculum while tailoring lessons to meet the individual needs of your students, helping them to thrive academically and socially in a supportive and inclusive environment. Use of colourful semantic and engaging lesson plans. Key Responsibilities: -Personalised Teaching: Deliver engaging, adapted lessons suitable for the abilities of the students, incorporating colourful semantics and other interactive methods. -Individual Education Plans (IEPs): Develop, monitor, and adjust IEPs to ensure progress, while collaborating with the ARP Leader and external specialists. -Behaviour Management: Implement proactive strategies to address challenging behaviours, promoting self-control, independence, and positive behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy. -Collaboration: Work closely with mainstream teachers, ARP staff, parents, and external agencies to support student inclusion and well-being. -Safeguarding and Well-being: Promote and safeguard the welfare of children within the ARP, taking full responsibility for creating a safe and purposeful learning environment. Requirements: -Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential. -SEN Experience: Proven experience working with students with autism and additional SEND. -Skills: A strong understanding of autism and the ability to implement SEN teaching strategies, with experience in handling behaviours such as spitting, kicking, swearing, and urinating in the playground. -DBS: Must be on the Update Service.
