Job Advert: SEN Teacher – Life Skills ClassLocation: North London College Position: Full-time / Part-time (negotiable) Salary: Competitive, based on experience Are you a passionate and dedicated educator with experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs ? A wonderful North London College is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to lead our Life Skills class and empower learners to develop independence, confidence, and essential skills for everyday living. About the Role: As our SEN Life Skills Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that focus on developing practical life skills (e.g., budgeting, communication, personal care, cooking, and travel training). Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment tailored to individual learning needs. Support students to achieve their personal goals and prepare for future opportunities, including independent living and employment. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Learning Support Assistants, therapists, and families, to develop and monitor personalised learning plans. About You: The ideal candidate will: Hold a recognised teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) with experience working with SEN students, particularly those with Autism, ADHD, or Moderate Learning Difficulties. Be passionate about teaching life skills and promoting independence in young people. Have excellent communication and classroom management skills.
