Job Title: Full-Time College Learning Support for 16-18 Year Olds with Mixed Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Location: Hounslow, London (Close to Piccadilly Line, Short Walk from Osterley or Hounslow Tube Stations) Position Type: Full-Time, Immediate Start Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Full-Time Support Worker. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personalized care and support to young people with different SEND needs, including PMLD. This role requires a willingness to assist with personal care tasks and a commitment to promoting the independence and well-being of our students. Key Responsibilities: - Providing one-on-one support to students with various SEND, including PMLD, in a respectful and compassionate manner. - Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, toileting, and feeding, as required. - Supporting students in their academic and social development, both within the facility and in community settings. - Implementing individualized care plans and educational strategies in collaboration with the wider support team. - Maintaining accurate records of student progress, behaviour, and any incidents, in accordance with regulatory requirements. - Ensuring the safety and welfare of students at all times, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures. Requirements: - Previous experience working with individuals with SEND, particularly those with PMLD, is highly desirable. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with young people and their families. - Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals with diverse needs. - Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and the ability to work effectively within a team. - A proactive and positive attitude, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. - Willingness to undergo relevant training and obtain necessary certifications, including First Aid and Safeguarding.
