Location: Bridport, Dorset Pay: £14.25-£14.95 per hour Hours: Full-time or Part-time, Monday to Friday Start Date: Sept Do you have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and want to make a lasting difference in a primary school setting? Axcis Education is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Bridport. This flexible role is available on a full-time or part-time basis and offers the opportunity to support pupils with a variety of additional needs, helping them to develop academically, socially and emotionally. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or SEND Teaching Assistant who is passionate about creating positive learning experiences for children. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: • Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within the classroom • Work one-to-one and with small groups to reinforce learning and encourage participation • Assist children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs and other learning difficulties • Adapt activities and resources to meet individual learning needs • Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour throughout the school day • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement individual support plans • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to observations and feedback • Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment The ideal candidate will have: • Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant, Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant • Experience supporting children with SEND within a primary school or similar setting • A calm, patient and compassionate approach • Strong communication and teamwork skills • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare Why Work in This School?
