Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH) – Chingford (E4)
We are currently recruiting a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Chingford (E4), supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.
This is a rewarding role for someone who is patient, resilient, and passionate about making a real difference in children’s lives.
Role details:
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH)
Location: Chingford, E4
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:45pm
Start: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Responsibilities:
-Supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis
-Assisting with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and engagement in learning
-Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
The ideal candidate will:
-Have experience supporting children with SEMH and/or behavioural needs
-Be calm, consistent, and confident in managing challenging behaviour
-Be committed to working full-time in a primary school setting
