**Job Description:**
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming primary school in London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting SEN children and will be committed to fostering a nurturing and inclusive educational environment.
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to SEN pupils, helping to tailor learning activities to individual needs
- Assist the SENCO and classroom teachers in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Encourage SEN pupils to engage in classroom activities and build confidence in their abilities
- Assist with the development of social skills through structured support and guidance
- Facilitate communication between SEN pupils, teaching staff, and parents
- Support SEN pupils with their emotional regulation and behavioural challenges
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities related to SEN education and support
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant with a focus on SEN, ideally within a primary school setting on CV
- A clear understanding of SEN, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other common learning difficulties
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team to support SEN pupils
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Enhanced DBS is essential
