Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant, Mainstream Primary School, Full-time
Do you have experience supporting individuals with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges whom can display very challenging behaviour? We have the perfect next role for you!
We are currently seeking a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in the in the Balsall Heath/City Centre area.
The school is mainstream primary school with a big heart and strong commitment to supporting individuals with SEND needs. They currently require a teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child in Year 6. The child is facing SEMH challenges due to their lived experiences and therefore can display challenging behaviour.
The perfect TA will have a calm demeanour and exceptional behaviour de-escalation skills, high levels of resilience and a strong work ethic. Experience supporting individuals facing SEMH challenges is key and due to the TA needing to build a strong relationship with child and demonstrate to them that they are dependable at all times, a high levels of attendance and commitment are essential.

- High levels of attendance and commitment is Essential
- Experience supporting through trauma-informed practices is Highly Desirable
- Previous experience in a school setting, care or residential background would be ideal, however personal experience mixed with professional experience is welcomed.

The pay for Behaviour Support Teaching Assistants starts from £89-£105/day minimum per day and is in-keeping with the experience of each candidate which joins us.
