Job Title: SEMH Teacher
SEMH Teacher (Primary) Location: Hillingdon (between Southall and Northolt) Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:15am – 4:15pm Start Date: September 2026 (with trial days available beforehand and the potential to start sooner) Contract: Full-Time SEMH Teacher – Primary | Hillingdon We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH Teacher to join a well-established primary SEMH school in Hillingdon, ideally located between Southall and Northolt with excellent transport links. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive, well-resourced environment that offers outstanding facilities, strong leadership, and a positive school ethos. The school is part of The Willows School Academy Trust, a specialist setting for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). It supports children from across London and surrounding counties, working with multiple local authorities, with the majority of pupils coming from the London Borough of Hillingdon. The school is committed to creating a nurturing environment where pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs can thrive both academically and personally. The school is looking to appoint a teacher for a September 2026 start. Successful candidates will be invited to attend trial days before the end of the academic year, with the opportunity for an earlier start where appropriate. The Role The successful candidate will: Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs. Support pupils in achieving their full academic, social, and emotional potential. Effectively manage challenging behaviour through positive and consistent strategies. Work collaboratively with a supportive multidisciplinary team. Utilise the school's excellent facilities and resources to enhance learning outcomes. This is a full-time position offering excellent opportunities for professional growth and long-term career development within the school. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential. Previous experience working with pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour. Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills. A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Available to attend trial days before September and commence employment from September 2026. Why Join This School?
