Job Title: Secondary School SEND Teaching Assistant - Walsall
We are currently seeking a dedicated and caring SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Walsall. The school is committed to providing tailored support to its most vulnerable students, ensuring they thrive both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEND in a classroom setting (SLD, PMLD, ASD)
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support individual learning plans
• Promote pupils’ independence, confidence, and self-esteem
• Prepare and adapt learning resources under the direction of teaching staff
• Be resilient and adaptable in a dynamic, fast-paced secondary school environment

• Pay: Starting from £89 per day, depending on experience
• Hours: Monday to Friday (36 hours per week, term-time only)

Requirements:
• Experience working with children or vulnerable adults with Special Educational Needs (specifically ASD, Severe Learning Difficulties, PMLD)
• A genuine passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one through us
