Job Title: Secondary AP Teaching Assistants, Worcester
Location: Worcester, WR2
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM | Monday to Friday
Pay: Starting from £89 per day (PAYE), depending on experience and qualifications
Start Date: ASAP | Long-term opportunity
We are currently recruiting multiple Teaching Assistants to join a dedicated and inclusive Alternative Provision Secondary School in Worcester (WR2). This school supports students with SEND, many of whom face additional challenges such as social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs or behavioural difficulties.
What the role involves:
• Supporting students aged 11–16 with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and trauma-related behaviours
• Providing in-class support and personalised interventions, both 1:1 and in small groups
• Helping to manage behaviour positively and consistently, in line with school policies and individual support plans
We are looking for someone who:
• Resilient and emotionally intelligent individuals with a genuine desire to support vulnerable students
• An understanding of trauma-informed approaches and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
• Backgrounds in youth work, care, or residential support are highly desirable
• Is calm under pressure and confident in managing challenging behaviour
