**Job Title:** School Office Administrator - SIMS
**Location:** Rochdale, Lancashire
**Salary:** £13 per hour
**Hours:** Full-time, 8am - 4pm, Monday - Friday
**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a diligent and experienced School Office Administrator to join a dynamic team within a busy school environment in Rochdale. The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing administrative support, handling day-to-day tasks with efficiency and accuracy. A strong background in using the School Information Management System (SIMS) is essential, along with a keen knowledge of Parent Pay systems.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Efficiently manage and maintain student data within the SIMS database.
- Utilize Parent Pay for handling school finances including trip payments, school dinners, and other expenses.
- Serve as the first point of contact for parents, students, and visitors, offering exceptional customer service.
- Coordinate with teaching staff and management to ensure smooth operation of the office.
- Manage correspondence, answer phone calls, and maintain filing systems.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and in compliance with data protection legislation.
- Execute a variety of administrative tasks such as scheduling, data entry, and document preparation.
- Assist in the organization of school events and activities as required.
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience of working in a busy school office setting.
- SIMS trained with a strong understanding of the software’s functionalities.
- Knowledgeable in using Parent Pay systems.
- Excellent spoken English and communication skills with the ability to liaise with all levels within the school community.
- Strong multi-tasking abilities and organizational skills.
- Possession of a current DBS on the Update Service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Reliable and committed to the role's schedule and responsibilities.
