Position Type: Full-time (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm)
Pay: From £89 per day

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Smethwick as soon as possible.
This is a full-time, long-term opportunity supporting children with special educational needs within a nurturing school environment. You will be providing tailored assistance either on a 1:1 basis or within small groups, helping pupils access learning, build confidence, and thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN)
• Assist in implementing and reviewing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Support pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development
• Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and other support staff
• Help create an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment
Requirements:
• Previous school-based experience is essential
• Experience supporting children with SEN is essential
• A positive, patient, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A valid DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
