Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
• Conducting advanced research and experiments in the field of phycology, including marine and freshwater algae analysis.
• Collaborating with a scientific team to investigate algal biology, physiology, taxonomy, and potential applications.
• Contributing to the development of sustainable and innovative solutions using algal biotechnology.
• Analysing data, compiling research findings, and preparing reports for publication in scientific journals and presentations at conferences.
• Maintaining cultures and ensuring the proper functioning of laboratory equipment.
• Participating in fieldwork, collecting samples, and documenting observations in various aquatic environments.
• Engaging with the academic and scientific community, attending seminars and workshops to stay abreast of the latest developments in phycology.
Qualifications:
• A degree in Phycology, Marine Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field, with an emphasis on algae.
• Strong laboratory and fieldwork skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in using scientific software and tools for data analysis.
