We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join our dynamic team in the vibrant community of Wandsworth, London. This is an exciting opportunity for a PE specialist who is passionate about instilling a love of physical activity and promoting healthy lifestyles among students.
As a PE Teacher in our school, you will plan, deliver, and assess a challenging and varied PE curriculum across different year groups. You will encourage and inspire students of all abilities to excel in a wide range of sports and physical activities, contributing positively to their overall education and wellbeing.
Responsibilities:
- Design and teach a curriculum that meets the physical education standards and guidelines.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to help them set and achieve personal fitness goals.
- Organize and manage equipment and facilities, ensuring they are safe and used appropriately.
- Collaborate with staff to plan and execute school sports events and competitions.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and participation.
- Continuously develop professional skills and stay updated with current PE trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Proven teaching experience in Physical Education.
- Solid understanding of health and safety standards in a sports setting.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the school's ethos and values.
