Position: Learning Assistant Location: Primary Alternative Provision (Islington, multiple sites) Key Stages: KS1 and KS2 Pay: £95 a day Full time - 5 days a week We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Learning Assistant to join our supportive team of professionals. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to developing the best possible provision for pupils with complex SEMH needs, helping to improve their literacy and numeracy skills. Key Responsibilities: - Engage and support children with SEMH challenges, helping them thrive academically and emotionally. - Work across two sites within our provision, providing support to pupils in KS1 and KS2. - Help raise pupils’ literacy and numeracy levels, many of whom arrive below national age-related expectations. - Support and implement individual learning plans, contributing to the overall success of the school's vision. Requirements: - Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (or equivalent). - Experience working with children, preferably those with SEMH needs, though experience across any phase is welcome. - Flexibility to work across multiple sites in Islington. - A positive attitude, passion, and a drive to make a difference. About Us: Our setting operates three pupil referral units for primary, secondary, and medical needs. We support children and young people aged 5 to 16 who have been excluded or are part of our preventative programmes.
