Job Title: HLTA/Cover Supervisor
HLTA/Cover Supervisor - SEND Location: Bridport, Dorset Start date: February Contract: Full-time Mon – Fri 8.30 – 3.30pm We are seeking a committed and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant / Cover Supervisor to join a small friendly primary school with an excellent reputation for inclusion. The role will include: • Working collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and senior leaders • Teaching phonics to a group following RWI curriculum 4 days a week • Working in KS1 classroom to support literacy and numeracy 4 days a week • Supporting a high-need SEND Year 1 child for a morning 1:1 once a week • Keeping key interventions running (following existing programmes) • Cover non-contact time across the whole school, taking classes and adapting scheme lessons for the classes they are teaching We are looking for someone who: • Holds HLTA status (or equivalent qualification/experience) • Is relational and therapeutic towards all children and is prepared to work flexibly • Has experience working in KS1 teaching phonics using RWI • Demonstrates strong classroom management skills • Is proactive and confident leading learning • Has a genuine commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing We offer: • A friendly and supportive school environment • Opportunities for professional development • Competitive pay in line with experience If you’re looking for a rewarding role where every day brings new opportunities to help young people grow in confidence, independence, and ability, we’d love to hear from you.
