Job Title: Further Education Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education are excited to be working with a fantastic college in the Bridgewater area who are looking to recruit multiple Teaching Assistants to start asap. In this role you would be supporting students with various SEND and mental health needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. This role would be perfect for someone who is friendly, hardworking, and positive. Experience supporting over 16-year-olds and a good understanding of SEND is essential. Working hours for this role are between 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, and the hourly rate of pay is £14.66. Responsibilities include: - Keeping the students engaged with their schoolwork to maintain their academic progress - Ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for the students to work in by listening and understanding their individual needs - Working to promote independence, support their ambition and improve employment outcomes The successful candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude and a resilient personality, with a creative and flexible approach which builds success through challenge, personalisation and innovation. Requirements for this role include a passion for supporting students with SEND, strong communication and written English skills, Right to Work in UK and an enhanced DBS on the update service.
