Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Autism & Complex Needs (EN3)
Start Date: January 2026
Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM | Monday to Friday
Location: Specialist SEN School, EN3
A welcoming and well-resourced specialist SEN school in EN3 is looking for a committed Full-Time Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2026. The school is ideally seeking someone who can stay for the remainder of the academic year, providing consistency and support for their pupils.
This role involves supporting children with autism (ASD), complex learning needs, and non-verbal communication, delivering both classroom and 1:1 support. You will help students engage through individualised communication strategies, sensory activities, and structured routines.
We are looking for someone who:
Has strong experience supporting pupils with autism and complex needs
Is confident using, or willing to learn, alternative communication methods (e.g., PECS, Makaton, or visual supports)
Brings a calm, patient, and nurturing approach
Can commit to a long-term role within a specialist SEN setting
