This role is ideal if you want meaningful, hands-on experience in education or SEND support, while keeping flexibility for other commitments such as study, family, or hobbies. About the work: You’ll be supporting children and young people with SEMH needs, autism and learning disabilities. Placements may be in specialist settings or within SEN provisions attached to mainstream schools. Because support is needed in different locations, you must be a driver with your own transport. Each placement offers something different — from supporting learning in small groups to helping pupils manage emotions, routines and daily school life. Some roles may involve personal care, depending on the needs of the pupils.
