Flexible Teaching Assistant roles for Students
Are you a student at the University of Bath or Bath Spa University looking for meaningful part time work during the week? Are you local to the Horfield, Redland, BS6, BS7 area?
Many students choose hospitality or retail jobs to fit around lectures. This role offers something different. It gives you paid experience in schools, supports your future career and fits around your studies.
We are looking for warm, reliable and motivated university students in Bath to work as Teaching Assistants in local schools. You do not need previous school experience. What matters most is your personality, values and willingness to support children and young people.
Why choose this role over hospitality or retail
• Competitive pay of £13.70 per hour
• Paid weekly, not monthly
• No evenings or weekends
• Sociable hours, typically 8:30am to 3:30pm on weekdays
• Work that fits around lectures and assignments
• A rewarding role where you make a real difference to young lives
Build your future while you study
Working as a Teaching Assistant gives you hands on experience that strengthens your CV and personal statement. It is ideal if you are considering a future in teaching, counselling, psychology, educational psychology, social work or other postgraduate pathways.
You will also have access to free training through Axcis Academy, including autism awareness, child protection and other education focused courses. This training supports both your current role and future applications.
