About the Opportunity
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-managed primary school in Brent for an experienced Finance Administrator to join their team on a part-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled school finance professional seeking a consistent two-day role within a supportive educational environment.
The Role
Working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial administration of the school, ensuring compliance with local authority and education finance regulations.
Key responsibilities will include:
Processing purchase orders, invoices, and payments
Managing income collection and reconciliation
Monitoring budgets and maintaining accurate financial records
Producing financial reports for leadership and governors
Supporting payroll administration and liaising with external providers
Ensuring financial procedures meet audit and compliance standards
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
Proven finance experience within a school setting (essential)
A relevant finance or accounting qualification (e.g. AAT or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of school financial systems and procedures
Excellent numeracy and IT skills, including Excel and finance software
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
The ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
This role is strictly Monday and Tuesday, 8:00am – 4:00pm, so applicants must be available on these days.
