The suitable candidate will be dedicated to guiding children through their critical early years, fostering their social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development. **Key Responsibilities:** - Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons and activities that stimulate learning and meet the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards. - Observe, assess, and record each child's progress, ensuring that learning objectives are met. - Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's development and fostering a collaborative approach to enhancing their learning experience. - Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages children to explore and learn. - Provide care and supervision, ensuring the welfare and safety of the children at all times. - Work collaboratively with other teaching staff to develop and implement the nursery's curriculum and educational programs. - Attend staff meetings, parent evenings, training sessions, and other professional development activities. - Manage classroom resources and maintain an inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment. - Adhere to all nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health and safety, and equal opportunities. **Key Requirements:** - A relevant Early Years qualification (NVQ, CACHE, B.Ed., or equivalent). - Experience in working with young children in a nursery or early years setting. - A thorough understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding practices. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. - Enhanced DBS check clearance. - The ability to work as part of a team and operate with a level of autonomy as needed. - Creativity, patience, and a positive, nurturing attitude towards early childhood education. **Desirable Attributes:** - First Aid certification. - Previous experience in a similar role. - A genuine passion for working with young children and commitment to their development and learning. **Benefits:** - Competitive salary and holiday package. - Supportive and friendly team environment. - Opportunities for professional development and career advancement. - Access to a range of teaching resources and equipment.
