Axcis Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded primary school in Camden that is seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team full-time.
About the Role
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils across Key Stages 1 and 2, with a particular focus on those with special educational needs. The role involves:
Providing one-to-one and small group support
Assisting with classroom management and lesson preparation
Supporting pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties
Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting engagement with learning
Working closely with the SENCO and class teachers to deliver tailored support strategies
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Proven experience as an LSA or Teaching Assistant within a primary school
Experience supporting children with additional needs
A calm, patient, and proactive approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A valid DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
