Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
A welcoming and nurturing primary school in the heart of Saltash is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This rewarding role will involve providing 1:1 support for a pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), helping them to access learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential.
In addition to supporting the pupil on a 1:1 basis, there may be opportunities to work within the school's dedicated SEND classroom, assisting a small group of pupils with additional learning needs and supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.

The Role
Provide consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with an EHCP.
Adapt learning activities to meet the individual needs of the pupil.
Support pupils within the school's SEND classroom when required.
Work closely with teachers, the SENDCo, and other professionals to deliver effective support.
Promote positive behaviour, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school.
A strong understanding of SEND, including experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs.
Patient, resilient, and nurturing, with excellent communication skills.
Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
Committed to helping every child achieve their potential.
