Position Summary:
A well-respected educational setting in Sutton, London, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teacher to join our dynamic team. The position entails full-time responsibilities from Monday to Friday and welcomes applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are seeking to build a thriving career in early years education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver educational activities that foster development in children aged 2-5, including literacy, numeracy, and phonics, ensuring alignment with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages children to achieve their full potential.
- Conduct regular assessments of children’s development and progress and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cohesive educational strategies and contribute to the wider curriculum planning.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular feedback on their child's development.
- Attend staff meetings and undertake professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
- Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children under your care.
Requirements:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent and an undergraduate degree.
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework.
- A commitment to inclusive education and a passion for children’s development.
