Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant – Autism & Speech Delay – Tower Hamlet | From £89/day | Nursery | Tower Hamlets | Immediate Start | Full-Time | Long-Term Axcis are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a Good Ofsted-rated primary school in Tower Hamlets, supporting a child in the Early Years with autism and speech delay. The school has a strong inclusive ethos, excellent leadership and is well connected by the DLR, Overground and multiple bus routes. In this role, you will be: • Supporting a nursery-aged child with autism on a 1:1 basis. • Using visuals, Makaton or PECS to support communication and understanding. • Encouraging participation in sensory and play-based learning. • Working with the class teacher, SENCO and speech & language therapist to track progress. What we’re looking for: • Experience supporting pupils with autism or communication needs. • Understanding of early childhood development and EYFS. • Patient, nurturing and creative approach to learning. • Team player who can use initiative to adapt activities.
