Axcis Education are looking for an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to work with a local secondary school in Coventry. The school is looking for a candidate to start immediately, with the view of continuing through the next academic year from September. The senior leadership team seeks to provide all staff with sufficient support and encourages professional growth, benefiting both their teaching practice and student outcomes. This is a full-time Cover Supervisor role, working Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will cover lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 and support effective behaviour management. Pay for this role starts from £92.63 per day. The Role • Supervise KS3 and KS4 classes during teacher absence • Deliver pre-set work and keep pupils focused on learning • Support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and additional learning needs • Use positive behaviour management strategies to maintain a calm classroom environment • Support small groups or individual pupils where required • Work closely with teaching staff, the SENCO, and pastoral team • Help pupils build confidence, independence, and positive learning habits • Follow school routines and behaviour policies consistently Requirements • Previous experience supporting children or young people within an educational or academic environment • A caring and patient nature, with the ability to build positive and meaningful relationships with pupils • A strong classroom presence and confidence in behaviour management • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service • Availability to work 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday Why Axcis Education?
