About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and confident Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming school in Wandsworth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education who enjoys working in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuity of learning by supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher. You will help maintain a positive and productive classroom environment while supporting students in their academic journey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise classes and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and support students with their work
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting respect and focus
• Encourage student independence and support their academic development
• Communicate clearly with staff and report any concerns where necessary
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure consistency in learning
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience working with children or young people (education setting preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence in managing classroom behaviour positively
• A proactive, flexible, and reliable approach
• A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
• Teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential
