Job Title: 1:1 SEMH Behaviour Mentor Location: Wythenshawe, South Manchester (M22) Salary: £105.00 – £115.00 per day Job Type: Full-time, Ongoing Start Date: Immediate Are you a confident behaviour mentor, sports coach, or youth worker who knows how to connect with disengaged youth? A primary school in Wythenshawe is looking for a resilient, positive role model to provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil exhibiting challenging behaviours related to social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. This is a premium-paid role for an individual who understands that "bad behaviour" is often just communication. Your Main Responsibilities: • Acting as a dedicated 1:1 behaviour mentor, keeping the pupil engaged in learning. • Utilizing de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviours and emotional outbursts. • Designing and implementing positive reinforcement strategies and reward charts. • Escorting the pupil during break times and helping them develop positive peer interactions. • Providing a stable, consistent, and trusted presence throughout the school day. What We Are Looking For: • Extensive experience managing challenging behaviour (SEMH, ADHD, ODD) in schools, youth clubs, or care settings. • Training in Team Teach, MAPA, or equivalent de-escalation frameworks is a massive advantage. • A thick skin, incredible patience, and the ability to bounce back every single day. • A background in sports coaching, youth work, or psychology translates brilliantly here.
