A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Barnet is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join its dedicated Autism Provision. You'll work closely with students with a range of additional learning needs, helping them build confidence, develop independence and achieve their full potential both in and out of the classroom.
No two days are the same, making this a rewarding role for someone who enjoys building positive relationships and making a genuine difference.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting students in lessons, small group sessions and within the school's specialist provision.
Helping pupils stay engaged, confident and motivated in their learning.
Encouraging communication, social interaction and independence.
Working alongside teachers and SEND professionals to provide tailored support.
Promoting a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Celebrating students' progress and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
We're Looking For Someone Who Is
Positive, patient and enthusiastic.
Passionate about working with young people.
A strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team.
Adaptable and willing to learn new skills.
Interested in SEND, education, psychology, speech and language, occupational therapy or teaching.
Previous experience in a school, care or support setting is beneficial but not essential. The school offers training and ongoing support for the right candidate.
