Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced ASD Teacher to join our team in Wandsworth, London. Our inclusive and supportive educational environment is dedicated to promoting the development and learning of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by students on the autism spectrum.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of each student.
• Create a positive, engaging classroom environment that fosters academic and social growth.
• Collaborate with parents, colleagues, and support staff to enhance student progress and well-being.
• Utilize a range of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support.
• Stay updated with best practices in ASD education and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
• Relevant teaching qualification and experience working with students with ASD.
• QTS is required for this role.
• Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to promoting inclusion and a positive learning atmosphere.
