Job Title: ASD Learning Mentor (1-1) Location: Wandsworth, London Employment Type: Full Time (Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:15pm) Salary: Paid to Scale Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ASD Learning Mentor to provide one-to-one support for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Wandsworth, London. The successful candidate will possess strong expertise in managing challenging behaviours and creating a nurturing environment to facilitate learning and personal development. Key Responsibilities: • Provide individualized support and tailored strategies to enhance the educational experience and emotional well-being of students with ASD. • Implement behaviour management techniques effectively and positively, fostering a safe and engaging learning environment. • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and adapt learning materials in line with students' needs. • Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting outcomes to relevant stakeholders. • Advocate for the needs of students and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs) as necessary. • Engage in ongoing professional development and training to remain current with best practices in ASD support. Qualifications: • Proven experience working with children exhibiting challenging behaviour, preferably in an educational setting. • Strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and best practices in supporting neurodiversity. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
