We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ADHD Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and supportive educational team in Wandsworth, London. The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing targeted support to students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), ensuring they receive the individualized attention and strategies needed to excel in their academic pursuits.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with teachers to implement educational plans tailored to students with ADHD.
• Facilitate a structured and nurturing learning environment for students with ADHD.
• Employ specialized teaching techniques to maintain student engagement and focus.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, adapting to their unique learning styles.
• Assist in the development of behavioural management strategies.
• Monitor and track students' progress, reporting back to teachers and parents.
• Participate in professional development to stay updated with the latest ADHD educational strategies.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant with specific focus on supporting students with ADHD.
• Strong understanding of ADHD and its impact on learning and behaviour.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive, encouraging attitude.
• Relevant Teaching Assistant or Special Educational Needs (SEN) qualifications.
