Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate ADHD Teacher to join our educational team in the vibrant community of Wandsworth, London. This full-time position requires a professional who is committed to shaping the learning experience of students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and is passionate about inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to the needs of students with ADHD, promoting academic success and personal growth.
- Establish a structured and supportive classroom environment that allows students to feel safe, respected, and motivated to learn.
- Implement and adapt educational plans (IEPs) in collaboration with support staff, parents, and external specialists to meet individual goals.
- Utilize innovative teaching strategies and behavioural management techniques to engage students and enhance concentration.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching methods as necessary.
- Foster a strong partnership with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child’s development and involving them in the educational process.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities related to ADHD and special education.
Qualifications:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent in the UK
- Experience in teaching students with ADHD or special educational needs
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with ADHD
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively with patience, creativity, and understanding
