Year 4 SEN Teaching Assistant – Sutton Location: Sutton Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday Pay: £97 per day PAYE Start: ASAP – school would like to arrange a trial A welcoming mainstream primary school in Sutton is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with SEMH needs. The successful candidate will be patient, consistent and confident in managing behaviour, while providing positive and supportive 1:1 guidance throughout the school day. The ideal candidate will have: Experience supporting children with SEMH and/or challenging behaviour Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach A good understanding of the primary school curriculum The ability to build a positive relationship with the pupil Good initiative and the confidence to adapt support to the pupil’s needs Experience working on a 1:1 basis in a school setting A patient, reliable and proactive approach The school is keen to meet candidates as soon as possible and would like to arrange a trial before confirming the placement.
