• Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team.
Essential Requirements
To be considered, you must:
• Have at least 6 months' relevant UK SEND experience, gained through paid employment, extensive personal caring responsibilities or voluntary experience supporting children or adults with SEND.
• Be aged 18 or over.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
• Be available Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm.
• Have experience or confidence providing 1:1 support.
• Be confident managing behaviour and supporting children with emotional regulation.
• Be patient, resilient, proactive and able to use your initiative.
• Be comfortable supporting children with high levels of SEND need.
• Be reliable and able to commit to consistent support.
• Be able to travel reliably to Chorley and the surrounding areas.
• Have an overseas police clearance certificate for any country where you have spent six months or more within the last five years (where applicable).

You must understand the importance of consistency, clear boundaries and building trust. The ability to adapt quickly, think on your feet and remain positive during challenging moments is essential.
