The nasen Awards: Recognising Excellence in SEND

The nasen Awards are a key moment in the SEND calendar, recognising the individuals, teams, and schools making a meaningful difference to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

As a long-standing corporate partner of nasen, Axcis Education is proud to support these awards each year, celebrating excellence across the sector and the impact seen in classrooms, provisions, and communities across the UK.

Why the nasen Awards matter

Across the SEND sector, there is extraordinary work happening every day, often behind the scenes.

The nasen Awards provide an opportunity to:

•  Recognise outstanding practice in SEND education
•  Celebrate innovation and inclusion
•  Highlight the real impact on children and young people
•  Share best practice across schools and settings

For many professionals, being nominated is not just recognition; it’s validation of the dedication and care they bring to their roles every day.

Axcis and the nasen Awards

Axcis has supported the nasen Awards since their inception, reflecting our long-standing commitment to the SEND sector.

Each year, we proudly sponsor the Primary Provision of the Year award, which recognises primary settings demonstrating:

• Inclusive practice
• Strong outcomes for pupils with SEND
• A commitment to continuous improvement

Through our partnership with nasen, we aim to support not only recruitment in SEND education, but also the wider recognition and development of excellence across the sector.
