Axcis Education are working with a secondary school in Torbay who require a Trauma Learning Coach to support children with complex trauma and who can at times, present challenging behaviour. The position is available for part-time or full-time candidates (Monday to Friday) and working hours are 8.30-3.30. The pay rate for this position is between £80 and £95 a day, depending on whether you have previous experience working with children in a mainstream or SEND school. The children engage in a bespoke, creative curriculum, which is stimulating and engaging, and is good preparation for life skills required for future employment. Negative behaviour patterns are tackled head on, with a bespoke behaviour policy implemented to promote small step changes in a positive direction. The school have invested in heavily in state-of-the-art provision to support pupils when they become dysregulated and or require thinking space to regulate their emotions. As a Trauma Learning Coach, your role will be based around supporting the children on a day to day basis, helping the children to access their learning and provision.
