Job Description:
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a similar setting and be committed to providing exceptional support to our students. This role will involve assisting with personal care tasks, supporting classroom activities, and creating a positive learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing one-to-one support to students with special educational needs
- Assisting with personal care tasks such as toileting and feeding, as required
- Supporting classroom teachers with lesson planning and delivery
- Encouraging student engagement and participation in activities
- Building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff members
- Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment at all times
Requirements:
- MUST have previous experience working in a special needs school and a secondary school
- Willingness to assist with personal care tasks if needed
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and personable demeanour
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
